The stronger one’s knowledge of Allaah, love for Him, and comfort in Him, the more it results in severing all other ties and secluding oneself to Allaah in all situations. Some of the Salaf would remain in their homes, alone with their Lord. It was said to them: “Do you not feel lonely?” He said: “How can I feel lonely while He Says: ‘I am the companion of the one who remembers Me.’”
