另外,除了素食,近年來因健康飲食風行而逐漸興盛的「植物性飲食(Plant Based Diet)」,也受到不少減重者的青睞。衛福部曾於2022年引用EAT-Lancet委員會發布之指南說明,植物性飲食內容以植物性食品為主,如全榖雜糧、蔬菜、豆類、堅果種子等,並酌量選擇魚類、蛋類、禽肉與乳製品作為飲食內容。
