菊花的冷門程度令人以為是當代經典,但實際上它的歷史可是悠久多了。這杯酒最早紀錄調在Hugo R. Ensslin(他也是Aviation的發明者)於1916-1917年出版的《Recipes for Mixed Drinks》:
●3 dashes Absinthe
●1/2 Benedictine
●1/2 French Vermouth
Stir well in a mixing glass with cracked ice, strain and serve with a twist of Orange Peel.
比較特別的是1:1的香艾酒和DOM,感覺放在現代會過甜啊~

●2/3 French Vermouth
Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Squeeze orange peel on top.
這時就是常見的2:1比例了,不過卻是使用搖盪法調製(蠻多現在常見攪拌的調酒在《The Savoy Cocktail Book》中都是用搖的,甚至像馬丁尼、曼哈頓等)。
