做為樂隊的創作中心，尚未滿20歲的主唱Luke認為，音樂創作除了不該畫地自限，更毋需畏懼走向大眾流行，這樣成熟的想法豎立了他們豐富多元且悅耳的音樂風格。年輕的The Kooks(其中吉它手Hugh不過才十七歲)初生之犢不怕虎，重現Supergrass與Blur剛闖蕩樂壇時的青春無敵。他們更自詡成為一組讓人跟著起舞的搖滾樂隊，樂隊首張以男性勃起障礙為主題的單曲Eddie's Gun，與第二張單曲Sofa Song，相繼面市後就宣告目標達成，讓眾多傳媒紛紛加碼買進。The Kooks本張處男專輯作品風格迥異，卻一氣呵成高潮不斷，再次證明他們超齡且特出的實力。其中『See The World』有如Sex Pistol與Bloc Party同場飆歌的成果，『She Moves In Her Own Way』濃厚的雷鬼風情、『If Only』的靈魂味，甚至是『Time Awaits』不可思議地同時融合靈魂、雷鬼與搖滾，還不乏『Seaside』與『Ooh La』這款足以復興英倫搖滾的純淨作品。
