Advanced Development Programs (ADP, Lockheed Martin Skunk Works® ) is responsible for the integrated "front-end" development of new and innovative technologies, new product and derivative programs in support of Air Power as well as the integration of Air and Space Assets.

With a passion for invention, Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works has been synonymous with record-breaking aircraft, stealth, lift fan technology, and other cutting-edge innovations for the past 60 years.

The ability to quickly and quietly develop new technologies and prototype warfighter systems is a critical capability as the military pursues transformation to capability-driven, effects based operations.

Tomorrow's warfighting information infrastructure must expand beyond traditional boundaries established among the strategic, operational and tactical levels of warfare. Advanced Maritime Platforms

With technology research and development efforts traceable to the early 1960s, Lockheed Martin has been at the forefront of designing and integrating ships and ship systems to meet a host of varying civil and government needs.

Many of Lockheed Martin's technology research efforts have focused on designing ships that share some combination of the following:

A proven systems integrator with nearly a century of expertise in aeronautics, Lockheed Martin has translated much of its derivative stealth technologies for applicable uses in the maritime arena.
