福音的辯護和證實
「我為你們眾人有這樣的想法，原是應當的，因為你們有我在你們心裡，無論我在捆鎖之中，或在辯護、證實福音的時候，你們眾人都與我同享恩典。」(腓1:7)
Even as it is right for me to think this concerning you all because you have me in your heart, since both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel you are all fellow partakers with me of grace.(Phil.1:7)
在消極一面，保羅為福音辯護，抵禦那曲解真理的異端，比如寫加拉太書對付猶太教，寫歌羅西書對付智慧派。積極一面則是證實福音，揭示基督是神的奧祕，而召會是基督的奧祕。
