每年端午節前後，宜蘭礁溪龍潭湖圓吻鯝魚會從龍潭湖游向溪澗的上游溪谷產卵，魚卵孵花為魚苗後，再順著流水游回龍潭湖裡繼續成長。這是一年一度的圓吻鯝魚力爭上游，傳宗接代的生態景觀，在龍潭湖鯝魚生態園區內就可以輕鬆欣賞到這一難得的奇景。
Every year around the Dragon Boat Festival, the round-nose Onychostoma barbatulum in Longtan Lake, Jiaoxi will swim from Longtan Lake to the upper valley of the stream to lay eggs. After the eggs hatch into flowers and become fry, they will swim back to Longtan Lake along the flowing water to continue growing. This is an annual ecological landscape where the round-nose Onychostoma barbatulum strives to reach the upper reaches and is passed on from generation to generation. You can easily enjoy this rare spectacle in the Longtan Lake pomfret ecological park.
